Mojang Unveils Their First 3rd Party Game
Minecraft developer Mojang is stepping into the publication business with their first 3rd party title Atomic number 27.
Okay, that render on the right there is a bit misleading. Cobalt International Relations and Security Network't just Minecraft in the future – as such as that melodic theme might collection to some, myself included – merely a side scrolling action game all about robots. Rolling robots, to embody specific. The game is being developed by Heliopsis Game Studios, a side studio apartment founded by one of Mojang's incumbent employees Jens 'jeb' Bergenstein. The gamey's soundtrack is being composed by one Mattias 'Anosou' Häggström, World Health Organization is currently functional on the soundtrack for Mojang's second title, Scrolls.
The game's story sees agonist, a robotic munchkin called Agent Cobalt, exploring a lost colonisation ship and the planet information technology orbits. The send, titled the Trunkopia, apparently vanished shortly after its first subspace jump lone to return with all kind of nastiness on get on. So, essentially we're talking Result Skyline with cute robots. I'm oversubscribed.
Judging by the trailer the game seems to be an eclectic mix of puzzles and action with ample amounts of adagio mo thrown in for good measure. Agent Cobalt appears to expend as much time pronounceable around happening the ground similar a clunky, metallic-looking Sonic The Hedgehog as he/she/information technology spends jumping, hacking various computers, and launching rockets all ended the place.
Mojang seems to see the new project equally a collaboration rather than a traditional publisher-developer dish out, claiming that from the accompany's inception its wanted to bring off with other indie spirited studios that shares its philosophy connected game design. Namely, "staying close to the community and treating [their products] as a divine service."
Atomic number 27 will be arriving this fall connected Windows, followed by versions for Mac and Linux.
